How to contribute limited amount of storage of data-node in Hadoop

  1. An AWS Account, A harddisk (I’m using EBS for this), 1 master node, and one slave node.
  2. You need to know the Linux partition concepts, You can go through the following videos: Link1, Link2

TO create an AWS Hardisk (volume ) and to attach it to volume: link

here /dev/xvdf/ is the device
  1. press p for information
  2. Press n for a new partition
  3. Press w to save
  4. Press q to quit
partition created

Now we need to edit the core files in hadoop:
